TiE- Hyderabad Awards 2015 Felicitates Visionaries, Achievers, Innovators and Entrepreneurs at Hyderabad Integration Night

Business Wire IndiaThe Indus Entrepreneurs, Hyderabad (http://hyderabad.tie.org/ ) launched its first ever Entrepreneurship Awards by presenting Ecosystem as well as Chapter awards. Speaking at the Hyderabad Integration Night, held at Taj Falaknuma Palace, Safir Adeni, President, TiE Hyderabad said, “While we are on the cusp of a startup boom in the city and country, it is important to recognize not just the visionaries and champions but also the startup enablers and the success stories that have already made a mark”.

It is the most prestigious awards in the Entrepreneur Ecosystem, to recognize and felicitate visionaries, achievers, innovators and entreprenuers who have contributed significantly towards the development of Entrepreneurship.

The objective of the Integration Night was to create a platform that brings together research and academic institutions, with business and industry organizations, investors and incubators, policy makers, as well as the mentors and entrepreneurs to facilitate collaboration and partnerships that can truly make Hyderabad the startup capital of the country, he said.

Conceived by TiE and supported by the Telangana government departments of IT and Tourism as well, the Hyderabad Integration Night brought together leaders of over 50+ academic, research and business organizations along with over 100 entrepreneurs, mentors and investors. Leading Industry and Business organizations like TIE, CII, FICCI, FTAPCCI, COWE, NASSCOM, YPO, EO, FSME, ELIAP, HYSEA, HMA, SPPAI (Solar), CEO Club, Hyderabad Angels, IAN, BDMA, and ALEAP were represented by their key board members. Prestigious educational and research institutions like ISB, IIT, IIIT, IKP, IICT, IDRBT, IIBT, BITS, NALSAR, JNTU, OU, ASCI, ESCI, T-Hub, TASK, CCMB, DRDL, LVPEI, and NIN  also participated in this initiative along with senior policy makers from government and administration.

Speaking after being conferred the TiE Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Champion Award by TiE-Hyderabad President Safir Adeni, IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan said that the blue print for RICH (Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad) prepared by ISB is ready. Hon’ble Panchayat Raj & IT Minister, Shri. K T Rama Rao who could not attend the TiE Hyderabad Integration Night ceremony was conferred with the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Visionary Award. Special Recognition Awards were also presented to Shri B. Venkatesham, Principal Secretary, Department of Youth Advancement, Tourism, & Culture, and Shri Ajit Rangnekar, Dean ISB for their support to the initiative and long term support to TiE and the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the city.

Other Ecosystem Awards presented went to Martjack for Entrepreneurial Leadership, NowFloats for most promising startup, ISB for the most engaged institution,  IKP for most engaged incubator, Helion Ventures for most engaged Venture Capital Investor and Pradeep Mittal for most engaged angel investor. Receiving the award for IKP, Ms. Deepanwita Chattopadhyay, Chairman and CEO of IKP said it is an honor and privilege to be recognized for our contribution to the ecosystem. “It’s a proud moment for us.”

TiE Chapter awards presented went to Manohar Reddy for Membership Champion, Srini Chandupatla for Membership supporter, Sesha Rao for Best Day Chair, Chand Akkineni for Most Valuable Committee chair, Rajiv Chilaka for Most Valuable SIG Chair, Ms. Ekta Bahl for Most Engaged Mentor, Syam Peela for Most Engaged Charter Member, Satish Kommidi for Most Engaged Associate Member and NCC Urban for Most Valuable Sponsor. KV Reddy received special recognition for most engaged new charter member.

Addressing the gathering at ‘Hyderabad Integration Night” held on Sunday evening Safir Adeni said we are a uniquely positioned city with vibrant startup momentum alongside 50+ strong knowledge institutions such as ISB, IIT, IIIT, BITS, IICT, DRDL, NALSAR, JNTU, DRDL, UoH, ICRISAT, CCMB and Osmania University that can immensely contribute to research and innovation that can be commercialized in our city. The T-HUB realization has shown the way forward and Government of Telangana’s RICH platform is a timely catalyst for research and innovation growth.

Hyderabad Integration Night is the first step, Safir Adeni, President TiE-Hyderabad said, “We congregated here this evening to bring together all the key stakeholders that are essential to make Hyderabad the startup capital of the country”. Suresh Challa Vice President TiE Hyderabad thanked all the guests and looked forward to more inclusive growth of the ecosystem in the coming year.
