Sreenivasa Murthy, a retired IAS officer of the Karnataka cadre, as a member of their advisory board. Mr. Murthy, who retired as the Chairperson of the Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission in March 2015, has over 30 years of experience in working with different functions of the government including Public Finance, Public Utilities Management, Rural Development and Decentralised Governance.

Some of Mr. Murthy’s notable achievements in government included being the Additional Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary (Finance), Commissioner of the Bangalore City Corporation (BMP), Controller at ISRO Satellite Centre, Department of Space, Bangalore, One of Mr. Murthy’s longest tenure was as Principal Secretary, Rural Development & Panchayatiraj when he was in charge of implementing the decentralized system of governance for which Karnataka is reputed. Mr. Murthy has been involved in implementing a number of development programmes and citizen friendly measures during his tenure with various government departments.
