On the last day of Big Billion Days, Disha books saw a spike of 25 times more as compared to its regular daily sales on Flipkart. Disha also emerged as one of the largest selling publishers on the final day and sold the maximum number of units it has ever sold on one particular date.
‘We were amazed to see the tremendous response that we got on Flipkart’s Big Billion Days. We got the most number of orders for Banking, MBA, Engineering, GATE and Olympiad book categories. There was a sudden spike of 25 times for Disha books, which almost took the sales to 5 figures’, said Deepak Agarwal, Director of Disha Publication.
‘We were surprised by the response of the record one-day sales for our books. Flipkart’s Big Billion Days served as a right platform for us to promote our books. The preparations for the BBD started around 2 months back. We ensured that we are fully stocked at Flipkart's regional warehouses and hence shipped the goods well before time. In spite of these efforts, 50 of our books went out of stock on that day.' he further added.
